MGMS WRITERS GROUP

EVERYONE HAS GOOD STORIES!

ABOUT GROWING UP, LEARNING THEIR TRADE OR BUSINESS, SPORTING, FAMILY, AND OTHERS AND

SOME HAVE GOOD FUNNY STORIES TO TELL.

They are heard every morning tea out on the verandah or just talking together.

THESE STORIES CAN NOW BE RECORDED FOR POSTERITY.

STORIES FOR YOU, YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS AND OTHERS TO SHARE …. AND NOT GET LOST FOREVER.

IT IS NOT DIFFICULT TODAY.

WE DIGITALLY RECORD YOU TELLING THE STORY AND GO FROM THERE.

Converting it into written computer form. Editing it with you, to add bits, make corrections and produce an easy-to-read final version.

Then you can choose where and how it is used … or not used.

You may have heard of the Project initiated by Breck McKay and Jim Pollock before Breck’s passing in November last year.

They were successful in getting a large grant to be able to record and communicate to our younger

generations the life story of men and their families who, through their life experiences, have something

to teach succeeding generations.

Without the recording of these experiences, they will slip into forgotten half-memories of just a few people and

have no real meaning in  the future. You may be a person who might like to share your experiences and help our

young people to make sense of the life we live.

If so, you are welcome to join in the project and share your experiences. You may feel that you are not able to

communicate well. However, The Shed’s Writer’s Group will be holding meeting this year starting on Wednesday

29th January from 9a.m. to 12 noon. to support and help you with developing these communication skills.
